What is the best yield of Propylene from a Petro FCCU so far experienced.
It depends on hydrogen content in sweet VGO to FCC. Typically with 13%wt hydrogen in VGO feed to FCC, one can get propylene (C3=) yield over 20%wt on fresh feed in high severity units like IndMax, HS-FCC etc. Further raise in C3=, modern design carries selective recycle of high olefinic lighter hydrocarbons in gasoline range.
